Tickle me pink
So this week's color is Tickle Me Pink. I found my pic while I was at the gym. I walked into the classroom and saw these and thought hey there's the color of the week! So I took this with my phone.
Another new project
Stumbled on this blog and decided I just had to join--because I'm a sucker for a photo project. And this one only requires one picture a week, not one a day!

What is Project64
We are calling this photographic journey Project64: Out of the Box. We are a group of 6 ladies and one official color selector (my hubby) planning on taking a 64 week journey through a box of crayons. We are hoping to take the crayons out of the box for a little inspiration in our photographic work! Each week we will be assigned a color, chosen at random from a box of 64 count crayola crayons. We will then take our color inspiration and search for it in the world around us! You'd be surprised by the colors you miss when your not looking! The goal of the project is to challenge us creatively, making us think outside the box, and to hopefully slow down a little bit and notice the world around us! Of course accomplishing a 64 week goal is fun too!

Operation Write Home
Very excited about launching our new project at the store, Operation Write Home. Handmade cards will be sent to the soldiers overseas so that they can use them to write home with. We've set a goal of 250 cards by Memorial Day. PIP donated a big sign and we've set up a display in the store for people to drop their cards by. We'll then send them all in to OWH and they will take care of sorting and shipping them to various bases. The boxes of cards will all be sorted by categories so the soldiers can just pull out what they need, whether it's birthday, miss you, whatever. This is the first 2 I've made to start us off. Tons of positive response on this in the store today--one lady from the Quad Cities told me she'd mobilize her card club over there and mail us some cards. I am hoping people will really get on board with this.

November break
So after 4 straight months of taking a picture every day, I decided it was time to take a break from photographing jars of candy corn. Decided it was time to get creative. I hadn't completed a scrapbook page since June and it was time to do something about it. So here's what I've been up to in November--even thought I know Alex will be sad there's no pictures of Josie this month. Don't worry Bert, I plan to begin the picture a day again, starting December 1.
